Washiq Ahmed
Washiq Ahmed is the Director for Supply Chain and Trade Analysis at the American Clean Power Association (ACP). He supports ACP’s research efforts in tracing clean power components, analyzing international trade activity, and conducting market intelligence. Prior to joining ACP, Washiq led the Research and Data team at AskSustainable, where he helped build a first-of-its-kind Climate-Friendly financial product database. He also played an active role in Sustainable Capital Advisor’s advisory line and supported client engagements across green bank, utilities, and venture philanthropy sectors.
Washiq began his career in financial services where he served as an Associate in Morgan Stanley’s Listed Derivatives business. Following his work in finance, he pursued research collaborations, culminating in published works, with the Center for Property Tax Reform and the International Economic Development Council.
Washiq earned his B.A in Economics and Government & Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park and his M.P.A from the University of Pennsylvania.
He’s a firm believer in advancing policy to secure a climate-resilient present, and enjoys connecting with partners to help shape a sustainable future.
